The Georgia Seed Development Commission (GSDC) is seeking applicants to fill the position of Executive Director. This is a salaried full time position.

LOCATION: Athens, Georgia.

QUALIFICATIONS:
•Must have B.S., M.S. or PhD. degree in agriculture with a minimum of seven years (5 years with M.S.
or PhD.) of direct seed industry and management experience in conditioning, production and
distribution of seed.
•Desired that applicant have experience in working with University Technology Transfer organizations.
•Must have experience in managing an organization including personnel and financial management.
•Must be detail oriented.
•Must be computer knowledgeable and be able to operate Microsoft Word and Excel.
•Must have the ability to
communicate findings through
concise written reports.
•Applicant must have a valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Must be able to assist in the roguing, harvesting, conditioning and distribution of seed.
WAGES/BENEFITS:
Salary commensurate with education and experience; health and retirement benefits provided.
